Benjamin Rolon-Arroyo (PSY30849) earned his doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, in 2016. He completed his predoctoral internship (Pediatric Neuropsychology Track) and postdoctoral training at the Trauma and Grief Clinic, both housed at Texas Children's Hospital/Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Rolon-Arroyo then completed a Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award at UCLA focused on suicide risk prevention in adolescents. In his private practice, he offers evidence-based assessment and psychotherapy services to address issues related to ADHD, anxiety disorders, grief, depression, parent training for disruptive behavior problems, and posttraumatic stress reactions due to trauma exposure. He also conducts work related to family communication, difficult life transitions, acculturation, and adjustment issues. Dr. Rolon-Arroyo works primarily from a Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) orientation, but is able to incorporate other approaches (e.g., DBT and trauma-informed principles) as guided by supporting research literature.
