Hi there! I'm Ben. I'm most interested in helping my clients understand themselves and their emotions in hopes of building lives that feel truly fulfilling. In our sessions, I'm focused on us having a corrective experience instead of just talking about the content of our lives. I want my clients to feel better, not just "think better." Through being with and extending compassion towards ourselves and emotions, we can start to open up new ways of being in the world. I want my clients to feel genuinely seen and heard, and I want the therapeutic relationship to feel authentic. My first order of business is always to do my best to make my clients feel comfortable and cared for. I work with many different types of presenting concerns, including depression, anxiety, trauma, relational wounds, and existential problems surrounding meaning and worth. I draw from evidenced based practices such as Emotion-Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I am also trained in a trauma therapy called Accelerated Resolution Therapy that aims to reprocess traumatic memories and beliefs about ourselves. A little about me - I enjoy video games, reading, listening to and playing music, pickleball, and hyper-fixating on whatever fun little hobby my brain takes me toward.
