Introduction

About Barksdale Missions At Barksdale Missions, we are deeply committed to enhancing family well-being, destigmatizing mental health, and supporting helping professionals through life’s most challenging seasons. These core values are the foundation of our mission and guide our work each day. Through a person-centered and holistic approach, we provide therapeutic services and community-based resources to individuals and families navigating a range of mental health concerns. Our practice serves children (ages 4+), adolescents, and adults, offering a safe, nurturing environment that encourages critical thinking, active learning, and the integration of faith and knowledge. Our Mission Our mission is to empower families through education and support during life’s most difficult moments. We are dedicated to affirming the value of life, fostering resilience, promoting healing, and strengthening family systems. We work to normalize and destigmatize mental health, recognizing its essential role in overall family wellness. Our Vision We envision a future where families thrive in environments free from stigma and shame. By bridging the gap between research and practice, we aim to make a lasting impact on the communities we serve. We believe mental health awareness is key to holistic family health and are committed to promoting a culture of openness, support, and healing. Ashley holds a doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, a master’s degree in Social Work, and a bachelor’s degree in Family Science with a minor in Psychology. With an ACE score of 10, she understands the lifelong impact of early experiences and is committed to walking alongside others in their healing journey.
