I have been supporting families for 20 years as a psychotherapist, parent educator and teacher. I earned my undergraduate degree at the University of Colorado, Boulder in 2001 in psychology. After several years of teaching I went on to earn my Masters degree in Social Work at the University of Maryland in 2006 where I specialized in clinical psychotherapy with children and families. Since graduation I have been providing psychotherapy to children, adolescents and adults in a variety of clinical settings including schools, hospitals and transplant centers. I believe in the power of the individual and family system and utilize a strengths based approach to supporting individuals and families to reach their potential. My areas of interest include parenting, postpartum mental health, relationship issues/concerns, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, adjustment to chronic illness, fertility issues, adjustment to parenting a child with special needs or chronic illness, and overall personal growth and empowerment.
