Hi there, and welcome! Two of my central beliefs as a human and psychologist are that 1) At the core, humans are good, & 2) You make sense. Throughout our lives, we are deeply impacted by both good & difficult experiences. We build defenses & habits that may have ensured safety in the past, but are now contributing to difficulty & suffering in our personal lives. These beliefs impact my work with clients in that my assumption will always be that you are fundamentally good & together we can understand & navigate the factors that are increasing distress in your life. I specialize in helping adults & young professionals navigate identity development, relationship conflict, grief, anxiety, depression, & the impacts of trauma. I integrate CBT skills, Attachment Theory, Relational Psychodynamic Theory, & Somatic Theory to help clients better understand & manage how past experiences are impacting their present. One of the main indicators of successful therapy really depends on the client-therapist connection. Developing a consistent, trustworthy relationship together where you feel understood is always going to be my highest priority. Whatever the content of our sessions, you can expect me to show up with warmth, support, curiosity, skill, & transparent honesty.
