Every person wrestles with questions of who they are, what matters, and why life can feel so difficult. To address these concerns and other mental health issues, I draw from existential and spiritual traditions to engage life’s bigger questions, and from cognitive, behavioral, and trauma-informed approaches for practical skills you can use right away. For Christian clients, I welcome your faith into therapy by looking to scripture for hope and encouragement, and prayer for expression and relationship with God. Studies show that including faith in counseling for those who believe provides meaningful healing and growth. I also work with clients of any belief system, and I will always shape therapy around your values. Sessions may include exploring patterns that show up in your daily life, practicing new ways to respond to difficult thoughts and emotions, or examining how past experiences influence present relationships. Many people find these conversations open space for self-understanding, resilience, and healthier ways of relating to others. I have experience working in a psychiatric hospital, behavioral health agency, and with veterans’ organizations, where my Air Force background informs my understanding of service and transition. I hold a Master’s in Social Work and continue my training in trauma-informed care, spiritually informed mentorship, and counseling psychology. My responsibility is to honor your sense of direction, provide consistent support, and offer perspective when helpful. If this sounds right for you, I’d be happy to talk.
