Introduction

My name is Amy Stone, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Massachusetts, Virginia, North Carolina. and South Carolina as well as the founder of JAM Counseling Services. Therapy is truly my JAM —because it’s what I love, and because JAM stands for the initials of each person in my family. That personal connection is at the heart of everything I do: creating a space where you feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow. I specialize in helping individuals navigate anxiety, substance use challenges, workplace stress, and life transitions with compassion and clarity. As a Certified Anxiety Specialist and Substance Abuse Specialist, I bring both clinical expertise and a deep understanding of the human experience to every session. With over 15 years of experience, I recognize that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all approach. I tailor therapeutic strategies to your unique needs and goals—because your journey is your own. Together we will build coping skills to help you manage your symptoms more effectively and move toward lasting change. My approach centers on whole-person wellness, offering deeply personalized mental health care that blends evidence-based practices with genuine compassion. I create a safe, supportive, and inclusive space where individuals can explore their challenges, uncover their strengths, and nurture emotional well-being. With an empathetic and transparent style, I offer honest insights—not just what’s easy to hear, but what’s needed for real growth. I believe that healing happens through trust, authenticity, and a commitment to your unique journey. I’m dedicated to holistic healing, ensuring that every client receives care that honors their story and empowers lasting transformation. Outside of therapy, I enjoy spending time in nature, exercising, cooking, and traveling. I’m a proud plant lover and a mom to both a cat and a dog (Allie) —my little companions who keep life grounded and joyful. You will often see Allie in therapy sessions sitting behind me on the couch. Thank you for exploring my page and taking the time to learn more about me and the therapy I offer. Taking the first step toward healing is a powerful act of self-care—and you don’t have to do it alone. Take the next step by contacting me today to get started on your wellness journey. I look forward to hearing from you and walking alongside you on the path to becoming your best self.
