With over 20 years as a School Social Worker supporting children from birth to age 21, I bring to counseling an expertise in child & adolescent development, social-emotional & behavioral functioning, & navigating the education system. There is also a strong awareness of the impact behavioral & mental health needs can have on the family system including parenting, relationships, & marriage. I hold a BSW from the University of Northern Iowa and an MSW from the University of Iowa, and I’m a Certified Mediator with experience in custody planning, restorative practices, and victim-offender reconciliation. I work with children & adults/couples supporting challenges related to anxiety, depression, ADHD, life transitions, trauma, grief, emotional regulation, parenting & relationships. My approach is person-centered & always tailored—drawing from CBT, ACT, mindfulness, play, family systems, & emotional awareness to help clients build confidence & connection. I believe that our mental health influences every part of life—how we learn, connect, grow, & see ourselves. That’s why I create a safe, supportive space where individuals & adults/couples can explore their values, experiences, & needs in order to align their goals and strengthen overall wellbeing.
