I’m Alyssa, a clinical mental health counselor at Mindset Time Counseling, offering a warm, collaborative, and creative approach to therapy. I work with children, adolescents, adults, and families, providing both individual and group counseling. My style blends evidence-based practices, such as mindfulness-based therapy, CBT, DBT, and IFS with expressive arts to help clients process emotions, build coping skills, and connect with their strengths. Before earning my master’s degree, I coordinated expressive arts programs for adults living with severe and persistent mental illness and substance use disorders. This experience deepened my belief in the healing power of creativity, which I often incorporate through art-based prompts and somatic grounding techniques. I’m especially passionate about supporting LGBTQIA+ clients and helping them embrace their authentic selves. I also enjoy working with children in ways that feel engaging, safe, and empowering. Clients often describe me as nonjudgmental, insightful, humorous, and easy to talk to. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, identity exploration, life changes, or healing from trauma, my goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where you can explore, grow, and move toward the life you want to live.
