My passion for this work stems from witnessing firsthand the profound impact that unexpected pregnancy outcomes, NICU stays, postpartum depression, and the loss of a child can have on individuals, couples, and families. These experiences are often accompanied by deep trauma, grief, and a sense of isolation, and I have seen how crucial it is for those affected to receive compassionate, informed care. I have also come to recognize that the professionals who walk alongside these families—nurses, doctors, and first responders—often experience their own emotional burden, which too often goes unacknowledged. At Sage & Stone Holistic Counseling, our mission is to provide compassionate and specialized support to individuals and families navigating the profound challenges of infertility, birth trauma, NICU experiences, postpartum transitions, and grief. In addition, we recognize the emotional toll placed on the clinicians and first responders who serve on the front lines of these crises. These professionals often carry the invisible weight of trauma, compassion fatigue, and burnout, yet are rarely given the space to process their own emotional needs. We are deeply committed to creating a supportive, restorative environment where first responders and healthcare providers can tend to their own healing, reconnect with purpose, and find balance amid the demands of caregiving.
