Introduction

I’m a licensed marriage and family therapist. I earned my MA degree from Alliant International University. I am a part of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT & OCCAMFT). I have 14 years of experience, and 8 years of that was working with undergraduate and graduate students at Chapman University. I’m passionate about working with individuals; I help college students and adults. Most of my clients struggle with depression, anxiety in social situations, life transitions, and with relationships. I help them learn about unhelpful thinking patterns that keep them stuck, and to develop coping skills to set boundaries, improve communication skills, and build confidence in their decision-making. I do this by working collaboratively to identify beliefs that are unhelpful using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and mindfulness techniques to help with reducing the physical symptoms. My goal as a therapist is to help clients build better tool boxes and confidence to deal with difficult situations and uncomfortable feelings in a more helpful way. I combine talk therapy with exercises that will give clients corrective experiences that increase their confidence to handle the anxiety and depression better. In my practice I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Solutions-Focused Therapy. I’m a certified Lessons in Love Leader for the Gottman Seven Principles for Singles. I’ve completed trainings for anxiety, depression, and insomnia through the Beck Institute for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and trainings for neuroscience for anxiety and depression I value my ability to create a calm, safe space for growth and change. Call, email, or click request appointment to schedule a free 15-minute consultation with me. I look forward to connecting with you.
