Introduction

Abigail is passionate about meeting people exactly where they are and entering their unique stories with curiosity and compassion. With experience working with couples and young adults of all backgrounds and cultures, she brings a comprehensive, person-centered, and trauma-informed approach to the therapeutic experience. She works with couples and individuals from a systemic perspective, meaning that she believes it is essential to work from the understanding that each individual, couple, and family is impacted by the stories and context of their families, their culture, their demographic, and their neighborhoods. She holds a B.F.A. in Studio Art from Covenant College and a master's in Marriage and Family Therapy from Colorado Christian University. She sees individuals and couples and works from an experiential, person-centered, and attachment-based perspective. She is currently completing training in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT). When not working, she loves to travel to Vermont, read on her porch, spend time with her husband and dog, and find new Richmond restaurants to enjoy.
