Introduction

Whether you're seeking EMDR, CBT, DBT, or other therapeutic approaches, we have therapists that are here to help you on your journey toward healing and growth. See below for more information about each therapist! Michelle Palmas is a licensed therapist specializing in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Michelle's journey into the field of therapy began with a desire to make a meaningful difference in people's lives. She received her master’s in social work from the University of North Carolina in Charlotte, where she developed a strong foundation in various therapeutic techniques and an understanding of the complexities of mental health. Michelle takes a holistic approach to healing, integrating techniques such as goal planning, lifestyle modifications, and evidence-based therapies like EMDR and CBT. This multifaceted strategy allows Michelle to cater to the unique needs of each client, fostering a supportive environment where personal growth and healing can flourish. Ariel Brittain is a Licensed Clinical Social Work Associate (LCSWA) passionate about supporting others in trauma-focused care. She has experience working with a wide assortment of diagnoses, including Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Complex PTSD, depression, anxiety, Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and more. She strives to support individuals in strengthening their voices and gaining a better understanding of themselves, their relationships with others, and the world around them. Ariel uses an eclectic style of theories and modalities to ensure each client receives an individualized approach. These modalities include EMDR, CBT, mindfulness-based CBT, DBT, somatic therapy, IFS/parts work, ACT, and more. She also incorporates cultural importance, gender/identity inclusivity, and systems theory. Kenzie Berg is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a background in clinical social work and over 8 years of experience in case management, child welfare, and working with youth and families. Kenzie brings a grounded, compassionate, and collaborative approach to therapy. Kenzie's clinical work is rooted in trauma-informed care, and she specializes in modalities such as Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). Kenzie also incorporates expressive arts, somatic practices, and parts work. Kenzie values incorporating body-based awareness and movement into sessions to support holistic healing. Kenzie has experience working with individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, and life changes. At the core of her practice is authenticity. Kenzie approaches therapy as a partnership rooted in mutual respect, where you set the pace and direction. Kenzie is not here to tell you what to do, but to empower you to make choices that align with your values and goals. Life can be challenging and messy, and we all need support at times. Kenzie strives to provide a safe, empathetic space infused with kindness, calm, and a touch of lightheartedness. Therapy can be deep and healing—and sometimes, it can be playful and even fun.
